Jorge Rivera Cardona is a multidisciplinary artist, socio-anthropologist of contemporary culture, and curator of the present. Born in Puerto Rico, his practice spans photography, painting, digital collage, installation, video, and public intervention. His work investigates identity, diaspora, colonial memory, consumption, and the fragile boundary between presence and absence.
My practice operates at the intersection of art, anthropology, and cultural criticism. I am not interested in illustration. I am interested in interruption — moments where an image, object, or gesture suspends the ordinary long enough to reveal what hides inside it. I work across photography, painting, digital collage, installation, video, and public intervention. The medium follows the question, not the other way around.
